| Description: Mountain Marigold is an Arizona native shrub. Also called Mount Lemmon Marigold. Nearly evergreen finely divided medium green leaves. It is very aromatic. Grows to 3' tall and 4' wide. Masses of 1" daisy-like flowers appear late in summer and throughout the fall. Tolerates native rocky soil, but grows larger and blooms more in well-drained, fertile soil.
Maintenance: Ample water first summer. Cut to ground in late winter to promote dense growth and good flowering. Apply a slow-release or organic fertilizer in the spring. Water established plants every week in the summer months. Mountain Marigold is not susceptible to diseases. |
