Leucophyllum frutescens 'Green Cloud'

Green Cloud Texas Ranger Photo Description: Green Cloud is one of the largest Texas rangers. It can grow to 6-8 feet tall by 6-8 feet across. The large, dark green leaves provide an ideal backdrop for the rich, magenta colored flowers. In the low deserts, this shrub will retain most of its foliage. However, in colder areas, this shrub will shed about half of its foliage. Flower color ranges from rose-purple to a deep crimson or magenta.

Maintenance: The 'Green Cloud' Texas Ranger is quite drought tolerant. It will grow denser and flower better if given supplemental water in the summer. This shrub is fast growing, and can achieve a fairly large size in one or two growing seasons. Plant Green Cloud in ample sunlight and well-drained soil.
